Westmere Project: A Timeless Blend of Functionality and Elegance

Well, this one is a little more to what one would say mid-to-high end finishes.

All of the cabinetry is done in white carcass plywood, all of the doors and exposed materials are in HPL white on Birch plywood, Blum Legrabox runners and Blum soft closing hinges.

Although the kitchen looks simple in design, it’s cleverly thought and laid out, very specifically to the clients needs. The detail behind the scenes and naked to the eye in most instances is extensive, even making the simple negative detail under the bench a challenging prospect.

The beautiful choices of doing a combined hardwood and stainless bench with a unique splashback speak for themselves. The beautiful hardwood top is made from NZ Blackwood, manufactured by The Woodsmiths with unparalleled workmanship. The stainless bench was manufactured and installed by Pacific Stainless and looks incredible.

This design was beautifully put together by Malcolm Walker and is likely one of the most practical spaces we have delivered.

There was no detail lacking in the bespoke vanities, with all the finishes to the same spec as the kitchen. Added excitement is a funky lighting detail on top of the mirror doors, along with demister pads fitted discretely behind the mirrors.

As for the TV unit, it’s unique, it’s simple, it’s elegant and functional and specific to the clients’ needs. Again, with a beautifully one off, made to fit, wrap around solid NZ Blackwood benchtop that rounds off a true one of a kind piece of furniture.
